House in the Woods
Rookie detective, Jane Arlenton, is assigned to a routine missing-
person investigation.  She discovers that two apparently unconnected
men have something in common.

Zoë McWatton seeks revenge on men after mistreatment at the hands
of her father and her fiancé.   Posing as a dominatrix, she devises a
foolproof plan to entice men to her house and kill them.

When a third man is reported missing, the police have to treat the
case as a potential multiple homicide, even though no bodies have yet
been found.
Arlenton and her colleagues close in on Zoë, anxious to apprehend
her before she lures more victims to their death.

The novel, set in Toronto, explores the dark side of the murderer and
the S&M business.  It follows Arlenton’s pursuit of her prey, while trying
to keep her relationship with fellow detective, Jim Patterson, on an
even keel.
